Old discussions seem to be pretty... quiet. That's true even if it looks really interesting. Do you respond to old discussions? I only respond to old discussions if they meet the following criteria: the poster is still an active user and the discussion should be really interesting. The former is because if I respond to an inactive user, it would seem like I was talking to air. No reply. How about you?

Yes, I do. What matters to me, is the discussion topic

@ianburst So you don't mind even if the poster looks inactive? And I wrote my specifications for old posts in the discussion. Haha

@Tierkreisze Yes, it depends actually on the topic if I am very interested with it. How about you?

If someone responds to it then I will, but while I was MIA - I did not return back to my old discussions.

Why didn't you go back to your old discussions? Too many responses? Haha

@Tierkreisze No because I reckon they are no longer active here so there seems little point.

@JudyEv Guess you're right. You probably won't remember them if they don't make some noise on mylot.

You don't open old discussions by people you don't recognize?

I will look at old posts by members I follow and sometimes I search subjects to find old posts to comment on. However, most old posts are by members no longer active here.

@JohnRoberts There was this user around here who said that you could reply on comments of active people. I thought perhaps you do that. Haha

No. I just check discussions posted within 24 hours, if my time permits. But during weekends, I don't check the site.

@Tierkreisze I work in an Audit/Law Firm. I can't spare lots of time for myLot. That's the reason why I don't create discussions. I won't have enough time to check all notifications. Also, I do remote jobs on weekends.

If you want to revive an old discussion and the creator seemed to be not active anymore. Respond in the comment of a member who seemed to be still active.

@Tierkreisze yeah and it pretty much works. I am sure you are familiar with some veterans here so you know who is still active.
