Movie Review - Finding Dory

Last week I made a movie date with my best friend to see Finding Dory. Tuesday is the best night to go as it is $5 Tuesday all day, every movie. What neither of us planned for was the time we went was probably the best time for everyone else as well. I haven't been to a theater in 38 years that was as packed as that one was for the different movies. I say 38 years because we went to see Star Wars IV that year and it was the year my youngest was also born and it was packed, so much so we were ten minutes late getting into the movie. We weren't late, but finding a parking place was 'fun'. I was a long way down the aisle. However, being packed, and finding a parking place was well worth it. My son had said the movie was worth the price of admission. It was. Finding Dory is a fascinating computer animated film that will melt your heart. If you've seen Finding Nemo you already know Dory has a memory problem. She can't remember anything from one moment to the next, or so it would seem. Nemo and his father, Marvin are in the movie. There are also a couple sea lions, a seal, two whales - one a baluga, not sure what the other is, and an octopus with seven tentacles called Frank. I almost forgot the bird. The main focus of the movie is Dory finding her parents. How she does that takes you on an unforgettable adventure that will make you laugh at all the crazy antics between the characters. If I had to guess right now, not having seen Secret Life of Pets which is topping the box office right now, I would say Finding Dory is up for a few Academy Award nominations and I hope she takes a few Oscars.
