Degrees of Separation

I cherished my
own solitude
and believed I’ll be alone.
Tended my own
desolation, blissfulness
already known.
Never for one second
did I imagine
you would come.
To show me how
it’s to be adored
and loved and cared and some.
You got me out from
the cramped box
I sheltered myself for so long.
I shouldn’t have felt
so free, unbound
that kind of happiness, so wrong.
I trusted you with
my own life, convinced
you’d leave me never.
But look
what you did to me
I am nothing better.
(The contemplation of the discarded tea bag in the sink.)

Wow! Another great one. You must have enough now to make a book.

@sol_cee I might buy one. How much would it cost me?

That is very well done. The final line is funny but if you publish this leave it off. Let your readers think what they want.

Funny, I'm drinking my green tea at the moment.
