How you treat the people who are weak or subordinate to you defines a lot about your character

I happen to see so many people in my office who I fail to decipher have enormous inflated ego even though it is evident that the posts they are sitting on are not permanent- the posts are transitory and belonged to someone else before the current incumbents and will be passed on to the next when they empty that seat. The way these people treat their subordinates and/or contract staff is despicable. They think as if these juniors do not have their self esteem and utter whatever comes first to their minds even on the hilt of abusing that weak person. Does it make you powerful when you show your power on a weak person? Does it make you big when such a weak person cannot retaliate because of his own boundations? It really shows that your character is weak and you compensate your low self esteem by making the weak person feel smaller. If I am able to reform even one such person by my this post, I will feel my job has been done.

At my very first job , on which i served for more than 15 years before finally resigning to go another career path , officers were first send to a Branch Officers Training program before they became that . In that seminar , you will not pass if your answers in the screening panel of the board directors , on the way you should be treating your staff , is not how employees should be kindly treated .
I passed that with flying colors .

When I was still working, the guards, janitors and driver were my friends. In fact, I usually bring along any one of them to dinner when I'm doing overtime and get out of the office late. I was a principal sponsor in the marriage of a daughter of one of our janitors and when he passed away a few months ago, the daughter who works abroad, requested a mutual friend to inform me of her father's passing and I went to his burial.

Weak people normally pretend they are strong by bullying others.
