I popped down to do some shopping a couple of days ago and noticed M&S had put a huge new poster up at the front of their store - I wasn't planning on shopping there that day but had a wander over as from a distance the poster intrigued me as it just looked like a photo of grass and nothing else.
When I got there however I saw it's much better than a photo of grass as M&S have created a vertical garden on the side of their store. It looks fantastic, the location of the store means a nice breeze catches the real plants and it's amazingly eye catching to watch them wafting in the wind.
I only had time to catch a fleeting look so I'm not sure what plants they've used but that section of the wall is awash with different shades of natural greenery, it's just so different to what you'd expect to see on the side of a shop!
Do you have anything like this in your area?

@chrisandmark We have no more huge planters of flowers because they reduce the walking space and can be dangerous because they hide the view. Now the cities are oriented to plant vertical gardens, they take less space and are nicer.

@LadyDuck - in my city (Birmingham) we tend to have huge planters of flowers dotted around but they haven't really cottoned on to the whole vertical garden thing yet, this one is in a little town outside the city centre and I think it looks great!

We don't have anything like it here but I saw a 'living wall' in Hong Kong. They look marvellous.
