We have a heavy rain today and I have cravings during this days. Every rainy days, we usually prepare foods that has soup to overcome the coldness.
My husband boiled the mongo beans before I arrived from my parents house and when I came home, I prepare the mongo beans soup with spinach and some slices of pork with a pinch of salt. After the preparation, we eat our early dinner.
After eating, I ask my husband to give our 3 neighbors a cup of mongo soup. We usually share our foods when there are still leftover so that it won't get spoiled or damage, am I right?
How about you friends, do you have cravings during rainy days or cold weather?

I'd like arroz caldo on rainy weather. That's so kind of you for sharing food to your neighbour.

During rainy days, I always crave for champorado. To those unfamiliar, it is basically cocoa-flavored sticky rice. It is usually served with powdered milk but others serve it with salted fish. They say that the two flavors contrast each other and create quite the experience.

Have you ever heard of Batchoy? I crave for that sometimes. When it's cold, I grab a cuppa. I'm not into food during cold days.

@ida123 the instant ones don't have those but they don't even taste close to the real La Paz Batchoy.

@toniganzon yes, the instant batchoy doesn't taste like the real batchoy.

I like soup during rainy days, too. Mongo is so delicious especially if we add vegetables like spinatch, squash, and malunggay. Then a small cut of pork to bring its taste to the highest level.

Sharing our extras really makes our hearts light. So good you are giving your neighbors some food. I do it too, as I had seen from my late mother who even cared for beggars.
