We had a public TV campaign against incest 2 or 3 years ago here. I would not tell that it is common, but there are still a few cases every year, mostly in the countryside. The punishment here is up to 20 years of jail, if the children are less than 15 years old, and up to 7 years of jail if they are between 15 and 18 years old. There is a 20 years prescription after the majority of the child : it means that a crime of incest might be prosecuted until the child is 38 years old.
