Will You Pay for Buffet Meals?

I am a very practical and economical person so I’ve always avoided paying for Buffet Meals that most restaurants do offer because I am certainly the loser as I am a picky, healthy eater and so I don’t just eat anything and everything served there.
I however enjoyed the Buffet Breakfast served in the hotel during my recent Birthday staycation there. It is inclusive in the promo package that my husband got. There were lots of choices, really lots. I did not touch the meat dishes though, but I indulged in vegetable salads, fresh fruits, fresh fruit juices, and lots of various pastries. I also enjoyed the pure hot dark chocolate drink.
As we walked back to our hotel room, I told my husband that I was filled and satisfied. I thanked him and he smiled.

Buffets do tend to be on the expensive side, but the glutton in me loves all those food choices! At the same time, because we can go back for more (and not to mention I just want to try everything), I tend to eat like a piggie . I am mostly a practical and economical person too, but every now and then we will indulge in a buffet!

I like buffets. I like to try new kinds of food and when I buy a buffet meal I am able eat many different types of food instead of sticking to one dish. But I usually eat too much

@Porcospino Yeah, once in a while is okay. It does feel good to be surrounded with lots of food where you can choose whatever you want and indulge as much as you want.

@salonga I also think that it is okay to do it sometimes. We don't eat out very often, but I like to visit the international restaurants in our area.

I have experienced going to a buffet dinner in one of the big hotels here in my city. There were lots of food to choose from ... international cuisine as well as Filipino cuisine. My stomach was already full to the brim with just two or three dishes but when my sister and brother in law saw how little i ate they urged me to go around some more and try everything ...urggg ... but i was already very full

I avoid buffets because they are expensive and I can't eat worth $40 in one meal .. There are buffets that are cheaper but they're not worth eating ..lol ..

I won't! Hahaha! I find it too expensive.
But I had also tried breakfast buffet at Westin Philippine Plaza.
Lunch at "Kamay Kainan" and dinner at "Cabalen".
Everything happened just in one day. The first two were also part of the package in our field trip and I can say that I didn't enjoy it. Who will if you are travelling, right?
The one that I paid was for my dinner at Cabalen and I didn't enjoy the food, too. After that day, I never went to any buffets anymore.

@salonga yup! I remember I paid P540 then, with unli iced tea. I don't know if that's really how the Kapampangans cook. For me, I prefer the Ilocanos way of cooking.
Their price now is a little lower, like P300+ for their eat all you can. My friend wants to eat there but I always tell her that I can't eat that much. Hahaha I am quite stingy.. lol

If that is a Japanese buffet with free flow of sashimi (raw fish), I will pay for it.
Sashimi is very expensive, because it must be fresh and well-handled to keep it free of bacteria.
Many people like to dip into the wasabi to kill the germs, but I seldom do that.
Wasabi is so hot that it goes into my head and I feel like my head is going to explode.

Oh yes , i certainly pay for it specially when there's an occasion but only for two or 3 persons .
Buffet meals can give an array of dishes that you can choose some of your preferences . Although , it comes with a hefty price .
Here, buffet meals can go as low as 250 pesos or $5.32 per person. But that already comes with 8-10 dishes , 2 desserts and a drink . Though, most of the dishes are of pork and chicken . Although there maybe one fish dish or two .

If the price isn't too high and there is lots of selection, I do like buffets. Because then I can create a meal I really like and I don't have to eat too much. It it is quite expensive I don't prefer it because I feel like I might eat too much just to get my money's worth. And that never feels good after.

I never eat at a buffet, although some do look good, I find them too tempting, I like my healthy diet and suffer when I let my eyes tell me what to eat instead of my brain.
