With Eyes Closed

With eyes closed I journey to distant lands, watching the sun illuminating the landscape and as if by magic the scene takes on a brighter hue. I feel the cool breeze gentle caress my face and the blood rush up to my cheeks as I watch the flowers sway to its gentle rhythm.
The pleasure I feel as my feet touches the springy grass heightens as my gaze turns upward towards the clouds floating in their aimless procession. They are busy taking selfies at the placid lake below and quickly rearranging themselves in a pose for yet another one.
The voices of children playing and squirrels chirping mingle melodiously with the joyous gurgle of a distant brook. I smell the fragrance of the flowers kissed by the sun and butterflies, I taste the nectar in the heart of the long trumpet flower dizzying to the gyrations of the bumble bee within.
With my eyes closed the power of my imagination adds special effects to the picture perfect scene. Emotions color the vast spaces with pleasure. The smells sets the atmosphere for my dreams and the sensations that pulse through my veins enliven the vision in my mind.
With my eyes closed I see more than what is here.

@sofssu When I have a big job like weddings, I go to bed thinking about it ..trying to imagine how to cut the patterns so it's easier when I start working on it.. It's amazing how the brain becomes like a computer where I can see the finished outfit..

What an enchanting photo! 
Sometimes we see more when our eyes are closed. This maybe the reason why God gave us eyelids, so we can close our eyes for that purpose apart from letting us rest and sleep and forget about the worries of this world.

@crazyhorseladycx Such day dreaming is so therapeutic.. it tends to calm me down and enjoy the sights and sounds of the past in my mind's eye. Sometimes it could take me too far away from reality, but who cares its a beautiful journey. Big hugs back to you.
