What is the difference between love and in love?

I understand the intellectual difference between love and in love. But I have always struggled with knowing when I feel 1 or both in my romantic relationships. I honestly wonder if that is 1 reason why my relationships are more short lived. I struggle to truly understand what I want. It seems to change. It also seems unbalanced where the people who love me the most and are in love with me are not always the same as the ones I seem to feel that way about. It's definitely something to discuss with my therapist and pray about. I also will always love any exes I gave my heart to as well as my current relationship. I am also able to love multiple people at once. I just find love quite complex. What do you think mylotters?

Love is really an unexplanable feeling. It is an emotion that most of us can't give a real explanation. According to a psychologist named Rubin, there are three things that you can feel if you are in love. Those are Caring, Intimacy and Attachment. That means you are emotionally open with one another , sensitive to each other's feelings and you have that bond that involves a desire for regular contact with each another..

I love psychology and am a psych major. I think I learned about this at some point in my studies.
