Have you ever tried cooking or baking in a toaster oven during super hot weather? It creates much less heat than using your big oven does. It's a nice way to cook during high temperatures instead of having all the excess heat from your big oven making your whole house hot.

I use to do that and i know exactly what you are saying, but this was the time when electricity was state run so it was very cheap, i stopped doing it now when power was taken over by a monopoly.
I did a lot with the oven toaster, even escargot and baked mussels to my invented bread pizza, yeah potatoes that i would reset the timer over and over till its cooked

What a shame about the higher electric bill. It sounds like you were a master of using your kitchen equipment. I'm always surprised by how much can be done with different tools when we get creative. :)

@louievill Indeed. I found it to be very handy. I was surprised by how many different things I could use this toaster oven for.

@Lady_Justice the oven toaster was such a great tool, lots of things you can do with it without running an oversized oven

It makes a huge difference, doesn't it? Less electricity for the air conditioner and fans in exchange for a little bit for the toaster oven.

No, but grilling works too. I like grilled food.
A toaster oven is a small electric appliance that works much like an oven. Some can even broil.

@Lady_Justice oh right, I'd never heard of that before...don't think we have them over here unless they're called something different.

@Mike197602 It may well go by another name. It's usually small enough to fit on the counter top and you can cook and bake with it.
