My Heart is Breaking

There has been a horrific terror attack in Nice, France. People were celebrating Bastille day watching fireworks. A man plowed down over 100 people with a truck. Then he started shooting. There are at least 75 dead and many injured. There are stories about hostages in hotels and people are hiding wherever they can. There is also a report of a fire near the Eiffel Tower. It is another sad day for mankind. My heart is breaking for the world.
The southern French city of Nice was on lockdown.

@akalinus I find myself constantly praying for sanity to return to this world. My prayers go out to the people in Nice. Oh, yes I read that the singer Rihanna was having dinner nearby when this happened and of course everyone got worried about her being there.

I feel so sad to hear of this horror at this time as France has been through so much already. RIP poor people I have heard now that they were affiliated with terrorists.

@akalinus It is always the innocent who are the victims in this type of situation.

The sad part is that these are innocent people just going about their business. It is not fair that they are victims because of something they have no control over.

I had not heard this about a fire at the Eiffel Tower or rather, near it. So many troubles. I prayed last night. I guess I need to pray a lot more.

The fire was from a car accident on the Alma bridge. The police prefecture wrote a tweet asking people to stop to propagate false information about it on the net.

Since this incident, the body count has steadily climbed around the world. It is heart wrenching to hear of the next attack. Germany, Florida, Tokyo, it just goes on and on.

@akalinus i have a feeling that it wont be long before we hear of an incident to where a regular person, citizen fought back and kills a terrorist. and it wont surprise me if the person who kills a terrorist gets arrested and treated like a criminal.

Yes he did steal the life of innocents but we can consider that one coward behind the wheel of a truck can not change the good in the world.

Terrorism is on the rise and the only way out is to eradicate their whole kind. This is possible only when people unite and come together and fight as one, on behalf of the whole humanity irrespective of country, creed, race or religion. As for the aforementioned attack, it is yet another attempt to destabilize France and tarnish it's integrity and peace. My prayers for the victims of this heinous act and my solidarity to their families.
