I was eating my toast and drinking my coffee when I heard the news headline on the tele.. "The Government is on the run this morning", the news reader said.. "Why is the government on the run this morning?", I asked hubby.. He raised his voice, " THE GUNMAN IS ON THE RUN! ..Not the government"... ................ Wow! I really need another serious hearing tests .. Anyway, though it's cold this morning, Mr Sun was out so we did a bit of shopping .. We didn't get carried away with shopping because we are on a budget as usual .. But I'm glad that the government is not on the run.. .. And my partner in crimes and all the none criminal activities have no problem with hearing .. Do you have hearing problem too? .. LOL!!..I tell you what, I can actually hear more .. Bess.. ..

I am having to tell my son to stop mumbling, but I swear he is and it has nothing to do with my hearing.

@epiffanie I had my hearing tested a year ago and there's nothing wrong with it other than a high frequency hearing loss I've had since I was a child and had ear aches all the time in the one ear, but it never affected normal hearing.

Is it comfortable wearing a hearing aid? I had a thorough check on my right ear and I had a slight hearing loss.. I may have to wear a hearing aid too in a few years time ...

My hearing is still good to about 13 khz. But I have trouble following a conversation in a really crowded, noisy room.

I don't enjoy making conversation in crowded places because I have to red lips and then I still don't get it right ..

You know, Bess, I used to make fun of my mother for the things she used to say because of what she thought she was hearing. And now the tables have turned. I hear the strangest things and when I turned up the volume of the TV and find out what they really said, I mainly think I should give up and go back to bed! lol

It's part of the ageing process I guess so we just have to accept .. sight and hearing are slowly going down the hill..

I pity those who have hearing problems, but they can use hearing aids to help them.
