The night before yesterday was a nightmare come alive...

...
It all started with my brother coming home late and being as tired as he was, he dropped on the bed and fell asleep immediately. He didn't even remove his shoes.
We were minding our own business until Grandfather came and asked about his car. My brother had the keys since he drives that car for Grandpa. Grandpa can't drive. So, seeing that my brother was sleeping, he went back as he didn't want to wake him up.
Here's when things went down....
Only a few minutes after Grandpa left, My brother suddenly jumped up and left the house in a hurry. Mom went after him getting worried and my other brother followed Mom. But he was already long gone.
We waited for a moment thinking maybe he just went nearby and will be back in a few. But he didn't. It was almost midnight. Dad rang him on his phone but he didn't pick up. Brother rang him up. He still didn't pick up the phone.
We were panicking now. Around 2 A.M. in the morning, he finally picked up the phone. But he wasn't saying anything. No one was speaking from the other side. Now the whole lot of bad thoughts started coming into mind.
"Did he had an accident?" "Did he get robbed and beaten up?" All sorts of horrible thoughts.
At 2:30 A.M, my parents went out looking for him all around our locality. But no sign of him anywhere. I and my other brother waited anxiously at home and kept trying his cell phone. No answer!
3 am, 4 am, 5 am... Still no sign of him. We were ready to arrange a search party for him since police helps based on a time frame.
FINALLY! Finally around 6 am, he called back on my phone. Mom talked to him then Dad. Dad yelled at him but was otherwise relieved. We all were.
What happened was that when Grandpa asked about his car, my brother was only half-asleep. So, he heard him and went to take care of it. The car in question was parked at my aunt's place which is only 5 minutes away from our house.
So, while we were losing our minds worrying over him, he was sleeping without a care in the world at my aunt's place.
Nevertheless," All's Well That Ends Well ". He was safe and that was more than enough for us.
(Photo is of yours truly with my two brothers as kids. The one in red was the one who went "missing" the night before yesterday)

Is that a brother?
Yesterday was my sister's birthday. She is with mom now. And rest of us had something similar happened to us...when they asked us to call and went MIA for half an hour...

@just4him I am glad too. He is kind of black sheep of the family (thanks to grandparents spoiling him rotten) so we worry about him often.

@VivaLaDani13 I learned that from crazyhorseladycx Although Yepperz is my own doing too. Have you ever read her discussions? She writes in full Southern drawl. It's lovely and unique. I try to write that way but fail.

It must have been a terrible night for you all.....the relief when things turned out OK must have been great .You all (excepting him) must be very very very sleepy this morning.

@responsiveme Yes we indeed were. While worrying we didn't felt sleepy but as soon as hos whereabouts were confirmed, the sleepiness hit me at least.

@Daljinder I know how you feel, you are almost angry when you discover that you worried for nothing. It happened to me a few times.

@JaboUK Yep we had a sleepless night. We scolded him but we can't blame him fully either. He went to do what Grandpa asked. Only Grandpa and we didn't know that he had heard him.
And when we thought he had picked up the phone but wasn't speaking, he had rolled over and accidentally picked up the call in his sleep. That's why no one was speaking from the other side because he was sleeping.
I removed the picture to edit it. It was showing up sideways. It's showing up horizontal now.

@Daljinder I can see the photo now, and it's lovely of you and your brothers. I can quite see now that your brother was not at fault.

@crazyhorseladycx Yeah he deserved both the hug and the punch. Hug came from Mom and punch from Dad (Not in literal sense). Thanks for the hugs!

@JudyEv According to him, we should have known since Grandpa asked him to go there in front of us. But we were under the impression that he hadn't heard Grandpa because he was sleeping soundly.
