She asked me to pray for restoration

I can't see how she would want to have him back with her, but she does. I can't see where the pastor is coming back. He already told her he wanted a divorce and didn't love her in the way she needs to be loved. This is not the first time he has left her. Several years ago two boys in the church would hang all over him like he was their father or his best friend. When my pastors wife tried to stop him from leaving her he tried to run her over with the van. I remember all the stuff they have been through. My pastor's wife told how when they were young he would get drunk and she was going to leave him because of it. To stop her from leaving her threw her in the closet and nailed it shut. W was screaming. Just then E was nailing her in his mother called. She asked where We was and Eric said that he nailed her into the closet. His mother had to come then and settle that fight. They were teens then. Anyway, I wouldn't want him back, but she asked me to pray for restoration. I have started praying and I will continue. I will ask for God's will be done. That's all I can do.

I don't believe in your god but I see it would be a little bit better if they left each other. it seemed to be very poisonous for the both of them.

I agree that it's a toxic relationship. I don't want to pray how she wants me to pray. I will pray for God's will be done.

@OreoBrownie i think there have been signs to get out of the relationship. i think it is time to get out and find someone else that wouldn't be this and she can take some time to work on herself so she can be ready for a healthier relationship.

That does not sound like a good relationship at all. Oh my.

I don't think so either. He already told her he's not in love with her anywhere.

Sounds like she needs to be the pastor.

That's funny to think about. She would be faithful, that's for sure.

Very bad relationship. It would be better if they went their separate ways.

I kind of feel the same way. I don't want to pray as she asks but just pray that God's will be done.

The best prayer any of us can pray in a situation is that God's will be done, and we accept whatever that may be. Have a blessed day

I agree. God's will be done. I don't tell God or demand God to do something in Jesus name as my pastor used to do.

I feel like I've missed something, but I certainly hope they will be able to stay safe.

@AmbiePam I'm talking about my former pastor and his wife. He married off his son to his new wife and then packed his clothes and left her. He said he wasn't in love with her anymore. He said he is tired of being married. He said he has been married since he was 17 and he's 43 now. He also has not spoken any of the 4 kids now. The youngest is 16 years old. The oldest is their disabled daughter who is 26. He wants his boyhood back. Funny thing is, he has left her twice and both times teen boys or older have been in the picture. I don't want to think he's gay, but he may be. His wife is very beautiful. Her tried to run her down with the van they had. He broke the brickwork in their carport. He has netted up before. I think he needs counselling. Hope you understand now.
