Give a Smile....Get a Smile

Have you ever taken notice of how many people smile?
When I went to the rehab facility to visit my mom yesterday I was greeted with a big smile by the girl at the reception desk which in turn made me smile back.
As I was getting into the elevator there was an elderly man in a wheelchair with his aide so I smiled at both as I got on and they both smiled back!
I happened to notice as I walked along the long hallway to get to my moms room that no matter who I encountered I was greeted with a smile. I never really noticed it until yesterday but everyone in that place smiles.
I expected my mom to smile when she saw me (and I was smiling too) but that's a given. It was all the other strangers (patients and staff) that made me realize that if you get a smile, give a smile and vice versa.
So, I'm sending smiles out to everyone here today and hope you'll pass it on

It's sad but it's rare to go somewhere now a days and get lot's of smiles.

Smiling is usually contagious. However, you do meet that one person who looks at you like you're crazy when you smile at them

i always try to make others happy. i don't like to be sad and see others sad. so who are all with me i try my best to keep them happy and smile.

I'm smiling right back at you! I am told that I wear a smile most of the time on a regular basis, but when I'm really happy its a much broader smile of course! Its a happy day today and a broad smile. We are away for the weekend and just stopped into the hotel to change into cooler clothes for the rest of the day.

It's such a beautiful thing when it works. But it doesn't always work. The woman who lives across the hall from me refuses to smile at me. Ever. I see her often. One day we both left our apartments at the same time. We both waited for the elevator together. We rode down 13 floors together. I smiled at her and she just gave me a flat, grumpy face and never smiled back. I haven't given up and it's clear that, for some very odd reason, she doesn't like me.

@Marilynda1225 Anything is possible but I'm not holding my breath. She's one of the few people in this building who never seems to smile. Not that I've seen anyway.

Maybe you could start a smile campaign and smile seeing how many smiles you can get back

I'm sure many people get wrapped up in their own thoughts when out and about and probably don't make eye contact with other people. However, you seem to be the kind of person who smiles often
