I have these requirements for teaching subjects like photography.
1] I will post the basics and that should appear first
2] each post will increase in level of understanding and should appear like a book.
3] I will be continuously publishing latest techniques; should appear in that order.
4] order of posts should be from the beginning for a new reader.
Now i will tell the disadvantages of each platform, as i have seen them:
blogger:
- posts appear as latest first
- posting for a particular page is difficult
- less templates
Word press
- posts appear as latest first
- posting for a particular page is difficult
Tumblr
- mainly for posting pics and not for teaching
- people are nor ready to read any thing
What should I do? Any one doing such teaching?

Wordpress can usually be configured to do anything you want, although you may need plugins and templates. You don't even need to use posts on Wordpress; you can just used pages with a static front page. Otherwise, possibly some type of content management system, although WP can be used like one of those anyway.

Hey Jayaramas,
Blogger is not user friendly but Wordpress is. You can have plugins and make changes in setting to show your posts the way you want.
You can create a "Get started here" page and add it in tab in menu and link all of your article in series. For example
1 - How to register domain
2 - How to buy hosting
3 - How to set up your WordPress blog
4 - How to install plugins
Etc
Have you got what I am trying to say?

i think it is best to create a blog by self and give the details there. it may be used for another income purpose too.
