I noticed that a few people couldn't see Ally's smile, I guess when a picture is too small it isn't as noticeable.
Now not all dogs smile and so far Ally is only the second one I've seen smile, her's is a subtle smile showing only her bottom teeth. She does this a lot when she's really happy but I've only captured a shot of it once.
I cropped out her smile so you could see her flashin her bottom teeth and of course the whole expression on her face is evidence that she's smiling.
The reason for this follow up is that some of you could not see her smile which is understandable so I hope this gives a better view of my sweet Ally's smile. Now do you see her smile?

Ally is adorable! I was playing with my niece's dog and when we stopped, the dog actually did smile at me. I laughed and laughed!

I've seen dogs with the subtle smile. Cats smile with their eyes. I can tell when most cats are "smiling".

I see her smile on the face. I do not have a dog of mine, but I used to many years ago. Every day I love to read news about dogs and discover that there are so many people who like dogs for their being smart and loyal to their masters. I think that dogs are very human and understand a lot of human words. I love dogs, too.

You are correct, they have a lot in common with us ..... to me their most endearing quality is their need to be a part of a pack or group of others. They do not thrive if they are all alone.
