How would you know?

I would often ask myself how would you know you are ready for marriage?
How would you know he/she is the one? Because for me I don't really see how. Some say that if you don't see it and you are with somebody then that probably means that they are not the one.
I'm confused about things like this, sure, my other half is talking about marrying and stuff and that he wants to marry me so probably he sees me as the one right?
But how can you be so sure about things like this?
I am probably skeptic about this topic because recently I can see a lot of people breaking up, cheating and broken relationships.
Here in my country we don't have divorce so marriage is really a big thing and I don't know if I will ever be ready for it. I'm scared.
So how would you know?

No one really knows, even calculus cannot compute the assurance of your relationship. What you feel right now might change the next day. But for me, the true barometer for long lasting relationship, beside love, is understanding.

@royanne when I say understanding, you are already living together and when your partner did some mistake, big or small, you are ready to forgive.

I hope I can give you a good answer but I am not yet married still. Although I am in a serious relationship with my present boyfriend, marrying is not our concern. We love to travel and we work hard to save money and then travel together.

You don't know for sure.
Better off not to get married, I guess.

You will know it if your heart and mind already tells you that this is it.
There is no exact age for marriage. Even though they say that it must be 25 or 30.
For me time for marriage is when you are physically, mentally and emotionally ready.
