Finally Harvesting Meal Sized Yields

Today I picked my first 10" cucumber. Now they will come fast and furiously. Each one I harvest will make more room for the others to develop. There will be more than enough to share.
I also harvested a healthy handful of green beans. They are so sweet I could eat them straight from the plant. A good serving for dinner tonight. Lunch will include a sliced cucumber salad.
Can't wait for the tomatoes to start turning red.

This is the most delicious time of the year. You can eat healthy and enjoy the pleasure of harvesting what you have grown.

lucky gal! the grasshoppers ate most'f the garden this year. i've a few pepper plants 'n maters that i'm hopin' survive 'n produce. those rotten hoppers aint eatin' those plants, but the blossoms!
