Making the Best of a Hot Monday

It is Monday and things here are slow The sun is shining bright and humidity high And with the high heat index I'm hanging low Keeping cool staying inside and staying nigh Sipping on a glass of fresh made cool sweet tea As I am standing here at the foot of my bed Typing this poem hoping a smile from you will be Before I need to prepare dinner so others will be fed Hope your day is going well Is it sunny or is it rainy there today Are you cool or hot will you tell For here you can share what you may

Well done for your poem. Yes, Monday was slow. As for today, hot as a blister out there. I can expect no less for this day in July.

@Elizaby I just heard we're going to top 106 on Friday and that's not heat index. I am not looking forward to it and I am certainly not going outside in it either. I feel sorry for all pets and their owners on Friday here. I know when I had my dogs they couldn't get cool enough even indoors with all the fans going and I kept her water bowl full at all times.

We always get the weather like yours there - hot and high humidity, as I am staying in tropical country. I am glad today was a rainy day, so it was quite cooling and comfortable to me.

It is horribly hot and humid here today and it's only 8am. I hate to see what it's going to be like later in the day.

It's hot here as well and now it's storming again so were just chilling out inside. Kids are watching some movies and Im trying to get some work done, lol.

It was pretty hot here, but not too humid. We had a short thundtorm which made today glorious! The humidity gets to me, but not the heat. Cute poem!!!!
