Dared to try by a 25-year old niece with some sisterly support.
Have always been going out all by myself.
From shopping to eating outside and taking some trip.
Always me, mysef and i.
But i never made one.
Watching movie.
It is not my fear of being there solo but felt uncomfortable, that is what i think.
But i was wrong.
Yesterday, i did it.
Of course to a fun movie.
The feeling was like, it was not bad, it is great.
Maybe it was because my fellow movie goers were more.of...on their 60s.
Like i am watching a fun movie.with my.parents.
And if i am ask.to do it again, yes! It depends on the movie though--no bloody, horror movie.
Have you gone to a movie house all by yourself?

I don't think so, usually I would go when friends wanted to-I would probably feel more comfortable with movie goers in their 60's...for some reason, I just think that if things got rowdy, I would be able to hold my own in a rumble...although, I shudder to think of me getting my butt kicked by an elderly man with a cane.

@Lucky15 when I was a first year student I was doing a service in a nursing home, when I was greeting the ppl after, this woman said to me "why aren't you smiling?", before I could respond she grabbed me by the cheeks and literally forced my face into a smile...all through this I was trying to desperatly say "but I was already smiling...", I tell ya, they can get rowdy;).

I've done it many times and I rather enjoy it, too! The first time was awkward but once I realized that everyone wasn't staring at me (LOL) I had fun. I get my popcorn and something to drink and settle in to (hopefully) see something good! Good for you for taking such a big step! I'm proud of you!

When I was single, I never did go to a movie by myself. It always felt like a strange thing to me.

@amadeo made a comment that reminded me that, as young as age 10 or 12, I did go to many movies alone to get away from things at home.

Wow! I too am much more comfortable roaming around on my own. I like to explore new places and eat at new places and can very well manage with my own company. I have never been to the movies all by myself though. Bu t I'd like to.

I do a lot of stuff on my own. I like to be by myself then I can move and do stuff at my own speed which is normally a lot faster than others.
