My Best Friend

As some of you may know, we are blessed with a huge network of true blue friends. My dad used to say that if you have but one true friend in a lifetime, you've had a lot.
My bestest of friends is my hubby. He has always been a devoted, loving, caring, brilliant, generous, kind, and compassionate man, husband, father, grandfather, and professor. I could go on and on, but won't bore you.
Today he had an MRI. Due to claustrophobia and sleep apnea, he had general anesthesia. The entire process took two hours, but although a little wobbly, he insisted on going out for breakfast, although it was close to noon.
My best friend has an appointment to go over the results of his MRI and treatment, if necessary, in a few weeks. He has had numbness in his fingers and toes for the last six months, but never told me until recently. He didn't want to worry me, but I am so worried and concerned.
He is my world.

I know you can't help worrying Dianne, but you may be doing that unnecessarily. I've had numbness in my hands (especially when I wake up in the mornings), and in areas of my feet for years. I just don't take much notice of it.
Even if there is anything wrong with your husband, it will probably be treatable. My husband has had serious heart problems for getting on for 20 years, but he's still here. So don't expect the worst my friend.

Thank you, Janet. You make me feel a bit better about the numbness, and I'm so glad your hubby is still around. I'm sure he has a wonderful doctor. This is our first biggie in health problems, so naturally I'm a wreck. It's me being me. Ha!

Thank you so much. He's a good man, and I wouldn't want him or anyone to suffer. It broke my heart to see the children's cancer center and memorial in the hospital today. It seems your mom and my dad were quite right. Thank you so much for your kind words.

I know how hard it is not to worry, but trust God to take care of your husband. You will both be in my prayers.

Prayers for a speedy recovery. He will be alright, with so many good people around him and with a loving and doting wife like you, he will recover soon.

I hope the result of the MRI is fine and I pray for it Dianne. Don't worry too much but I can understand your situation, I've been to that stage when my husband had a slight stroke before, glad his fine now. Again, prayers for your hubby and to you.

OMG @DianneN , I hope he's going to be okay. I'm surprised they didn't go over the MRI results immediately.
