Last night I learned that Finnish babies sleep in cardboard boxes for many years. The cardboard boxes are provided by the Finnish government and there are many necessary products inside. This is very thoughtful and sweet for the government to do so. And Finnish people keep it as a tradition.

This is in Finland right? It's so sweet for the government to give starter kits for newly born. It should be adopted here in my country. It's a good idea. I read it also over here
For 75 years, Finland's expectant mothers have been given a box of baby clothes and bedding by the state. Some say it helped Finland achieve one of the world's lowest infant mortality rates.

@youless The box is full of gifts for the baby. The box has a mattress and it can fit newly born babies. Bigger babies won't fit on the boxes.

I've read the whole text. Very interesting! Of course, 'the government' doesn't give these boxes to the parents as presents. The taxpayers pay for them. But this is money well spent.

Traditional values are something good to keep in families. For so many reasons.
