Car problems

So I have a 02 ford escorts and have had nothino but one problem after another for years. Now my transmission is slipping and I'm considering using a additive. Any suggestions?

What's "a additive"? If it's slipping, I'd probably take it to the shop.

I've seen a number of things that say they can stop slipping transmission's when added, figure it might not hurt to try. At this point I don't know if it's worth taking in to a shop. Might be time to break down and spring for a new car. Transmission problems are the last straw in a long list e of problems.

@Jot2me So sad that I buy mostly Toyota or Nissan because American cars break quicker.

Better you dispose it of. It is a mere waste to spend money on repairs. The tires of my car were worn out. After checking the mechanic advised me to change the front ones. But, I changed all the four. So, no fear of facing any unnecessary problem while driving.

I may get a estimate just to " know", if I give up on it without checking I'll regret it forever.
