Ted Cruz - once a snake, always a snake

After Ted Cruz dropped out of the Presidential race (sort of) a few months ago, I forgot how much I disliked him. After seeing him again last night as he slithered his way on and off the GOP convention stage, I remembered.
Geez, he is one mighty unpleasant, narcissistic, smarmy human being. If he was trying to secure his rightful place in the 2020 GOP Presidential election, I think he just blew it.
It appears Cruz’s ego-maniacal pontificating last night back-fired big time. Rather than making his point and taking his place as the "true" conservative of the Republican Party, he proved himself once again the snake so many people really don’t like and never will.
Rather than hurting Trump by refusing to support or endorse him, Cruz did Trump a big favor. The crowd was angered and disgusted, including many of Cruz's fellow Texans, as they shouted “endorse Trump” and booed Cruz off the stage.
No matter how many “God blesses” Cruz sputtered at the end of his speech, Trump appeared triumphant in the background and Cruz was left to slither away in disgrace.
Bye bye, Ted.

If ever there was a poster child for "sore loser" and "sour grapes," it's Ted Cruz.

You got that right! It really is both childish and shameful.

Classic case of giving someone enough rope and hanging their self. Hopefully, he should be out of the way for the critical final night of the convention. If he gets anywhere near the stage, they need to call security.

@CircusCircus He is such a nasty person. I wouldn't think he'd show up again or he would be removed.

I don't like Cruz AT ALL, from the first time I saw him I said he reminded me of the evil crooked pastor turned vampire Steve Newlin from "True Blood". Not so much that he looks like him but rather in his manner. However, I had to applaud Cruz for having the courage to tell voters to "Vote Your Conscience". Who would ever think that would be bad advice to give anyone? I thought the way the Trump people attacked Cruz's wife and the way Donald personally implied that Cruz's father was involved in the JFK assassination were indefensible and I have to side with Ted on this one. As far as his chances in 2020, forget that, the country would never elect anyone as far to the extreme right as he is.

I think Cruz' suggestion to vote your conscience was more his vendetta against Trump than trying to be helpful and advice-giving. Cruz is a sleaze.
