Really loved growing up enjoying the outdoors as a child. Remember making tree houses and even sleeping in the one overnight! You never thought of snakes or spiders..just having plain good fun. my own art

I had an old fig tree that I loved to climb. I was surprised years later to find that my favourite was only a few feet off the ground.

I enjoyed climbing trees as a child though my mother strictly prohibited it, I still found a way to escape and climb trees. I think a child hood is never complete without actually climbing trees.

There is something rewarding about the view from the top of a tree that you have climbed!

I have climbed trees as a child and almost fall inside a well when a branch broke. My grandmother was very unhappy.

That could have been a terrible incident if you had fallen down a well.

I too remember I have enjoyed climbing trees in my childhood. My father made swing in banyan tree and I remember myself and my siblings played in that.

I grew up in a farm. i climbed a coconut tree once, that was the scariest cause there were no branches. I climbed so many others mostly fruit trees and had a feast up there with my brother.

Yes, I did. All of us kids did. I remember one time my sister got up in one and was afraid to come down. We were waiting for the school bus, so we had to run and get Daddy to get her down! Trees were meant to be climbed by kids.

You are so right..trees are filled with adventure and excitement, ready to unfold. It is easier to climb up than climb down!

Yes! I love those childhood days when my cousins would visit me and we would play in our backyard. Those days there were many trees in our backyard and we loved sliding down on each tree as well like little monkeys.

I think parents think of the height as being too dangerous!

I never climbed any trees because there weren't any climbing worthy ones! I did enjoy climbing on the jungle gym though!

Nope. We never had trees in the yards off all the house I lived in. The one tree we had was by the pond and when it rained a lot it would flood and my parents didn't like us out near the tree when it did.
