Trying Out My New Camera

I bought a Canon Power Shot when I was out shopping at Wal-Mart today. I really love it. The pictures are nice and clear not blurry, as you can see on this picture of the chair I just bought. You can also see the true color of the chair.
On the side of the chair are the bags of presents I got my great granddaughters for their birthdays next week. The clothes are so cute. I hope they fit.
You can also see a bit of my kitchen leading to my laundry room and the current mess.
I'm so happy with my new camera, no more blurred pictures for me.
Have you gotten any new toys lately?
Thanks for reading.

We got a Nikon Coolpix, and I like it really well, but for some reason I have to always resize the pictures. I should explore and see if there is a camera setting that would fix it.2525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525

@GardenGerty It's better to keep the camera set to take larger pictures and resize them for the net. If you change the camera settings and you ever want to print one of your photos it won't turn out very well.

@GardenGerty I found I needed to re-size this one too as when I tried to post the first one, it gave me an error message and didn't know the article had posted without the picture. I ended up deleting that first post.

You're right. It's not blue. It's turquoise green. Now, I can see clearly the color of that comfortable chair.

@enlightenedpsych2 It is and I'm always amazed how comfortable every time I sit in it.

My late X had a Canon so I was familiar with its quality when I went shopping today. I'm so glad it takes great clear pictures. Better than the cheap one I have.

I've always loved Canon and this one is living up to its reputation so far.

I want to toss out my sitting furniture except for my plain wood kitchen chairs. They have had better days. I would be excited about moving even though I know it can be a lot of work. I do hope it goes good for you. I guess you find your place in a state of upheaval for now @just4him

I'm moving @Bluedoll. That chair will be in the living room for my new apartment. Right now nothing is going in the living room with all the boxes of packing I have and the couch that will be going on the bonfire real soon. It's the worst couch I ever had. My older son gave it to me and is very uncomfortable. Now that chair on the other hand is the most comfortable one I ever had.

i've thought'f pickin' one'f those'p myself - mainly fer the hubs (he's prone to damagin' my big camera...) 'n when i'm out'n the pasture (more portable). i'm sure those young'un's're gonna be delighted.
new toys? i've a camera/phone i jest got'n still learnin' to fly. aint thrilled with the camera - that 13mp don't mean much without a decent zoom. which also makes the video capability a bit to be desired. 'tis my first e'er "smart phone" 'n i'm nearly glad i've got a 45 day money-back guarantee. coz such may be goin' back'n me gettin' 'nother simple flip phone.

@just4him i'm purty certain such's user error, lol. i've still time to play with't, to see if'n i can figure't out. watched all the 'how-to' videos multiple times. lots's to do with the zoom factor though...'n these unsteady hands. my big canon's stabilizers'n the lenses so's 't don't look like a drunken monkey was't the helm :)

@crazyhorseladycx That's one thing I like about the camera. It seems to steady it. I'm a bit shaky myself.

@just4him - Ms Valerie - You picked a good camera to buy. I have a really O-L-D Canon camera - a little one that I carry on my belt whenever I venture forth out into the real world. One of the first cameras out of the gate, this one has really low image resolution, but if I work things just right, it will pretty well compete with the better rigs you can buy today - provided you have the gold with which to do that. You might want to take a look at Canon's website on the Internet. They offer some really handy computer program downloads that work well with that camera you have in hand now. I like the little "photo stitcher" software I downloaded from there and use it from time to time to build panoramic photos because it is both fast and easy of use.

@just4him - My little and old Canon camera has no extra lenses but it does have a "zoom" feature that lets its lens vary from fairly wide angle view to reasonably closeup telephoto setting - not much, but "enough." For its small size (really small) it weighs a lot, and that weight helps steady it when you shoot pix without a tripod or other camera base (like a tabletop, etc.). Works for me, sure does.

@Bellatricks I can't use the camera on my phone as it is only for talk and text nothing else. So I needed a good camera. I bought a cheap one a while ago and it wasn't the best - a lot of blurry pictures. I really like the results I've gotten from this one.

I haven't gotten any thing new recently but I also got a new camera for Christmas from my boyfriend. He bought me the Canon Rebel T5. It takes really nice photos as well. The photos are super clear. I have several discussions on here where I am sharing the photos I am taking. Feel free to look at them.

That's a shame. I don't have use of the picture feature on my camera, so didn't have a camera until I got a super cheap one a few months ago. Now I have a good camera that takes good pictures. I'm very happy with it.

I got them each a couple outfits and one toy each, so I hope they'll be happy with them. I'm quite sure Gizelle will be. She's happy with everything. Naomii doesn't talk yet, and as she's a downs child, doesn't express a lot yet either.

This one is small and lightweight. Very nice. I don't have a phone option.
