Such A Good Evening

I finally got all the cooking done that I mentioned in my last post. I took some of all of it to my grandpa like I mentioned I was going to do previously. He made him a plate when I got there and had his dessert I made him afterwards. I did the dishes up for him and straightened his house up for him and then we sit and talked. I spent my whole evening with him. I really enjoyed sitting and talking with him. I always do enjoy my time with him when I cook and take him food. I know he enjoys it too. He never wants me to leave because he gets so lonely with it just being him and the dog now. I left him with enough food for tomorrow too. My mom will make him something Saturday and take him for the weekend. Then, I guess my aunt will cook Monday when she does his laundry. So, I will make him something else next week so I will get to spend another evening with him. I so enjoy doing this for him. I did homehealth for years and rarely saw the peoples families cooking for them or visit them. I do not know how that they can not do this. To me it is like second nature, our older family members took care of us when they were younger and now they need taken care of I think it is our duty to help take care of them. Is it just me ?

@magallon Thank you! It's just my grandpa now. My grandma passed 3 years ago and since I have been trying to do this for him.

Taking care of the elder people and sharing memories with them is always good.
