Food plays an important part of our daily life. With both parents working today, very easy option is to adopt the instant food. How healthy is it? It may seem very easy to prepare and serve, but on the health part, isn't it creating a havoc? Working women face this everyday challenge of preparing fresh food. Children are falling prey to all the flashy covers and the taste. What is your opinion on this?

I've never eaten instant food. Working people can prepare food for several days in advance and put it in the freezer.

Yes, that is an option. But in our country, the food spoil in 2 days time even in freezer, due to the cooking methods and the spices we use. My advice would be to follow a simple cooking procedure. Make simple 2 dishes everyday. Cook everything in the morning itself.

Because I am a working mom, and gets home tired, sometimes I also tell my children to just open some canned foods. I know it is not healthy to have instant foods but I can't help it. I am tired and almost drained to still cook and prepare our healthy dinner.

This is grave problem. By the time we reach home, we are so tired. What I have adopted is to cook simple. Just 2 dishes...no elaborate menus, only when time permits.

As much as possible we should avoid eating instant foods . That's because they are processed and it is said that processed foods can cause cancer .

@durgabala And maybe if you have no time to cook home foods then you can buy those real viands or dishes on local eateries where there are some veggies maybe .

Instant food are not healthy since there will be chemical for preservative. I avoid bottle drinks and instant food for my children too
