The 61st wedding anniversary

Tomorrow is the 61st wedding anniversary of my parents. Wow, they conquer all the trials. I can't imagine how my Mom did it or even my Dad, they keep more patience to each other or to us, their children because if they don't extend it, I know they'll not reach this far. We'll just prepare some simple foods for the affair with some invited guests. I hope, they can celebrate some more years. How about you friends, how many years are you with your partner as being couple?

So, your parents are not that too old, not like mine. Good that they reach that 39 years already and I hope, they'll reach some more years to celebrate.

Hmmm, let me think! As a couple 30 years; married for 20 years! Separated for 1 one day many times; one week just one time!

@ida123 Thanks! My wife is almost 4 years older than me. We got married when we were in our 20's . . . The age difference was never a problem . . . but now - - I wish she was 4 years younger than me!

My parents celebrated 63 years before they passed. Next month would be 64. I divorced after 21 years. Though if we had stayed together it would only have been 42 as he passed last July.

My parents had their 42nd wedding anniversary last April. It was a simple celebration too. I guess respect and trust for each other are what makes their married life stronger. Cheers to your parents as well.

Yes, that's very important to married couple having respect and trust to each other. I think if there is no respect and trust, the couple will always fight.

Don't think of the figures, just think of the happiness you've shared and that's the most important.
