Will Trump get a lot of Bernie followers?

Democratic National Committee emails released by WikiLeaks show DNC officials conspiring to push an anti-Bernie Sanders narrative in the late stages of his campaign. Since the DNC has stabbed Bernie and his followers in the back and since Bernie and Trump have similar positions on trade. Will Trump get a lot of Bernie followers?

I don't know enough to have a well thought out opinion. But my opinion is I can't see Dems jumping parties to support trump. Even if they have the same opinions on trade I'm pretty sure the other views they hold would cancel that out. I guess it'd depend on what issue mattered the most to them but I expect for a hard core Dem it'd take A LOT for them to support trump.

I would also think, how anti-Hillary are they? Do they think the rigged system and corruption makes backing an outsider, even Trump, worthwhile.

@CircusCircus Personally I'd expect party loyalty to play a big part. However anti hillary they are I suspect they are more anti trump so it's the best of a bad thing to some I think.

@Mike197602 Yeah, you are probably right, but what I have heard is that they would be thrilled to get 20% of them and think that might be a reasonable expectation.

My guess is that many (not all) will sit this one out. Other may still write his name in.

@CircusCircus I can tell you one Bernie back they're not getting. Beyond that, I have no idea.

From what I have been hearing they would be thrilled to get 20% of the Bernie backers, do you think that is realistic?

I will say no, never. No Bernie supporters will go to Trump. If anything they will go with Hillary. Trump is a moron. A big mouth. And he has no clue how to run a country. But all we can do is wait until November to see what happens.

It's wishful thinking. Bernie supporters are radical liberals who despise the Republican Party and his supporters loved him for the free stuff he promised and Clinton is making similar offers.

Oh, no. I can't believe that Bernie's followers would turn to Trump. That's unimaginable.
