A lovely young lady was blessed With quite a magnificent chest, But she would bleat "I can't see my feet", Their location she just simply guessed ------------------------ Joe wanted to watch his team play, Bought tickets for championship day, This upset his bride, "You've forgotten " she cried "That our wedding will be on that day!" Oh my, what to say, what to do, He'd really messed up, that he knew, So he asked his pal Ed "Will you go instead? It's the church near the park - her name's Sue".

That's soo very funny, Janet. Especially that last one and the sentiments involved. I guess his lady should have made sure the date didn't have other meaning for her intended.

@puddlegum i thought I'll send you this as we think alike on this :) Something old, something new Something borrowed ,something blue Adorned in these, waited Sue In the churchyard under the yew. He may have been Sue's beau But the ball game meant more to Joe To his wedding he would not go And sent pal Ed to deliver the blow. This was just the chance for Ed It was Sue he always wanted to wed "I love you deeply", to Sue he said. Convinced , the bride married Ed instead.

@jaboUK One of them is famous. I don't know her as a friend, but I have talked to her in public a few times. I've been pretty busy. I've been trying to write and publish stories, but during this heat and the exhaustion from haying, my writing abilities are shot. I need to recover a little before I can jump back into things. I have images for making covers (royalty free ones that I bought already), a kindle account set up on Amazon, and all my tax information and payment portals ready to go. Now I just need to finish stories, edit, slap covers on them and publish. It takes a while. :P

@jaboUK - Ms Janet - And those with big belly can't see (or won't telly). It seems like it is an adiposial life that some must lead. Often it boils down to being purely a matter of restraint.

@jaboUK - Ms Janet - Restraint in that poetic bosom buddy of yours would work in any event - top, middle, or bottom...

@DianneN I doubt I'll get round to doing a book - seems like a lot of hassle to me, Anyway, who wants to buy a whole book full of silly rhymes? A few at a time on here go down well, but i think that's probably enough.
