I know how to get Lazy Preiti to get her exercise.

It is the rainy season here and Preiti will sleep away. She has put on a lot of weight. She needs to exercise. I have found a way. There is a spoon that I use for her medicines. Giving her medicines is the toughest thing for me. Today I picked up that spoon and went near her. She jumped off the bed and started running. I followed her in the hall and we both had the much needed exercise for atleast 15 minutes. How do you get your pets to do their exercise specially if they are lazy like Preiti.

Poor Preiti! That is a good way to get her to exercise. She has a beautifully glossy coat.

This is an old photo. At the moment she is shedding and that is worrying me.

Poor sweet Preiti. I let Doodles walk around our property 4 to 6 times a day, for 45 minutes each time. But he ruins it all by coming in for kitty treats!

Our little one - not little really, she is 9 years old (lol) - has her exercise when she runs to the gate when Rambo our neighbour's dog starts barking. But I want her to walk around in the morning hours. Why do you say he ruins?

What a good idea! It does look as if she needs to lose some weight.

That was quite an exercise session. Did she finally get her medicine?

It was an empty spoon. When I want to give her medicine I leash her (lol). She recognised that spoon and thought I was going to give her medicine.

Our dog Hachiko is too old to play with us. She's having cataract already and she sleeps and lazy. Father said that looks like Hachiko is fighting to live long when in fact she needs to rest. I can't dare to watch her because of her looks. Sometimes i cried.

Our little one is quite healthy and so it is just laziness (lol) I feel sorry for old dogs. They have issues that we cannot handle.

@allknowing Yes. I strongly agree. We consulted a vet and the vet told us that we need to wait when is her time. She dont have sickness its being old.

I have two pet dogs and both are active. They seem to love chasing each other.

@allknowing Always smiling, great idea with the spoon. I had to get diet dry food for my cat because she was getting fat. I throw a ball and she kicks it back and I throw it again.

True that! I follow the same technique with my pet, Joy as well! He was fat. I just run behind him and he runs away from me. His biggest dislike is "The Basketball". He avoids it like no other! :) He just moves away when the ball comes near him or runs into the room or sometimes jumps over it. Joy is an excellent jumper. I train him to catch his pedigree. When he leaves food on his plate, I cover the pedigree with rice and he loves to find it and eat it. This way his plate is clean! ;)
