So the last time I worked was back in 2008 and have not had a job since. I miss working a lot and making my own money. I hate having the feeling even though I am married and my husband works, I hate not having my own actual income. My son gets SSI but I get a job, I lose state medical and that would suck. We only get $76 in food stamps but better than nothing.
Now for my income, I sell stuff and blog. I also TSU which is like blogging. I just hope one day I have a good small income of my own online or a job. I don't know yet. What do you do for income? If you work, what do you do?

I've been a stay at home mom since 2005. I love my "job" as a mom, and I feel fortunate to have this opportunity as Hubby does well to bring home the bacon, as they say. But still I have always felt guilty about not contributing more income . . so I do what I can online - it's not a lot but it's something as opposed to nothing.

@carebear29 I think it's good to have a parent at home while the kids are young. When they get older, I'll feel more comfortable about looking into a job.

I have my two offline jobs which are both related to teaching. My salary on my full-time job goes to our house and all expenses. Then, my salary on my part-time job goes with me. I save it for my vacation every year.

How is TSU for you? I tried that before but it never really worked for me.
Right now I work at a BPO and I get my main income from this job that I do. I'm looking for other sources of income but so far I have not been successful. I've earned from myLot but my earnings aren't substantial enough. It is better than nothing though.

On weekdays, I work for a law/accounting firm handling immigration & taxation cases.
On weekends, I do remote projects on Upwork and some translation sites.

It's really hard to have no personal earnings. I have experienced the life which I just wait for the remittances from my husband. And it's difficult because he ask me many questions where and when I spent the money.
So I really looked for a job to earn money for myself.
I am now in the guidance office.

I quit my job in 2010 because I wanted to take care of my eldest son. It's been more than 5 years since I left my job. I am still working as a freelance programmer, but I don't actively look for projects, hence I don't get much income actually. I try to do some online work now, though only earning a little bit, I have to take care of my children including a newborn baby, so I can't spend too much time at work too.
Hope you will have good luck with your business and online work too!

I miss working, too. I'd love to have a part time job but I wouldn't even know where to start looking. I get SS retirement and about the same food stamps as you get. Beyond that, I do a lot of surveys online for gift cards, I write here and wherever else I can, and I'm currently selling off some collections of mine on ebay, since I had to downsize and no longer have room for all the stuff.

@carebear29 I stopped for a while but then I missed the gift cards, so I'm back at it again. I usually do them later in the evening when everything else is done and I have some time on my hands.

If you have some unique skills like art, music, computers, etc. then why don't you start up a carrier in that. Indeed you can teach arts, music or other skills. If you want you can look for online jobs. You can find many that fulfill you criteria.Just do a research about it, you'll find many jobs.

Hey, don't be sad. If you lost your job, then better to look for a new job and opportunity dear. Mourning is not the solution at all. Just give your best try wherever you may find opportunity. Gradually you'll see that during this hardship in getting a new job you would have transformed into a much stronger and patient person, I mean it. And that's a plus point you get. So never ever give up, just dream big and work hard. You will get the best.

I work as a stock clerk at a grocery store. I also earn here obviously, and occasionally will use swagbucks or sites like it. I am here more often than any of the other sites.
I had a period of time where I wasn't working. It really strained the relationship between myself and my now ex. I know how you feel, not having the income you are used to, and not being able to provide as much as you would like. Hopefully that will change for you soon.

I am doing swagbucks here and there now since I got notification of account shut down for being inactive.
