Sophie, our black Lab, is so attached to my hubby. She's always been attached to him, but it's like she knows something is wrong, she won't leave his sight.
Today as he was eating his lunch, she crawled under his TV tray, to wait till he was done.
I think she senses something is different, it's her doggie instinct.
Do your pets seems to know when something is wrong?

Oh yeah my cat Garfiled and my dog Mazey definately does. I have some health issues and I have flare up all the time from them. Garfield knows when one is getting ready to start cause he will start meowing at me and following me every where I go and when it's bad enough flare that Im in bed for awhile my sweet little Mazey will not leave me side.

@AutumnSnow Your fur persons remind me of a cat I had years ago. Will Tweedy. I got pneumonia and wasn't getting out of bed much. Will climbed up every hour or so and peered down at me, checking on me, telling me he was with me all the way. (I left a stove burner on once and let the dumb pan burn dry. I was again lying down. Will jumped up and beller meowed in my ear until I got up to see what his problem was??)

Yeah I heard they have special instincts where they could sense when there's going to be a calamity.

Yes. Dogs do understand. We share life with a black Lab mix named Leah. She is empathic to the max. I have taught her to allow me to lean on her when I have trouble going up stairs. Same with hills. She knows to heel so I call her to my side and without super pushing on her, grab her collar and lean a bit on her as we head up the slope. She is a lean 85 pound gal so she can handle it. Dogs are very with it creatures.

That's awesome, I have a feeling Sophie would do her best to help too.

Haven't noticed that from the pitbulls at my parents' place because they are kept in their respective cages.

Are they kept in there all the time? Maybe it's only when they are close to someone?

@lilnana1111 Yes, they bite that's why we keep them in their respective cages though we bring them out at times for walking.

Yep, Sophie is definitely a daddy's girl, but I know she loves me too.

When I had a dog, yes. If I was sick they would crawl right up next to me in bed and stay there until I was okay again.

It's funny, cause it does seem to make us feel better.

@lilnana1111 I heard or read a few years back that a dog can make you better just by him or her laying beside you when you're sick. I can confirm that as I always felt better in a few hours.
