Reunited at Last!

Parent and sibling weekend arrived at our granddaughter's overnight camp in Maine. I've been so busy texting and watching videos of ice skating practice, horseback riding lessons, and the sheer joy of the family being reunited. Too bad we couldn't visit, too.
Our younger son stopped by for a 3 hour visit. He was here so long, that I had to excuse myself to go upstairs to ready myself for a dinner date with friends.
Our friends and we dined at a seafood restaurant on Long Island Sound. We sat at a table on the deck and listened to a live band. It was a balmy and beautiful evening, and we each drove our matching convertibles to and from the restaurant. We hadn't seen them since last summer and had lots of catching up to do.
It was a weekend of reunions, but not for mylotting. I'm here to see what you've been up to!

@Juliaacv I canceled a little while ago. There were 4 couples going and we won't be missed. We are beat from the beach and too much of everything. Your dinner sounds delicious, but I don't eat as many carbs as you seem to eat. We'll order dinner dinner in about 15 minutes for delivery and watch a movie. I'm done in.

Just returned from a beach party that was not planned. I wasn't here since we got the call, and now I'm beat with that fresh air and sunshine. I need a do nothing life. Thank you. I'll try to catch up here for a bit. We are going out to dinner again this evening. Ugh!

Too bad you weren't able to make the visiting weekend at your granddaughters camp but isn't it wonderful with this new age of technology that you can see everything on video. Your grandchildren look like they are happy to see one another after their time apart. Sounds like you had a good time with your friends and a perfect evening of catching up at that seafood restaurant

That sounds lovely. We did have any get-togethers with friends but my daughter and I had dinner last night at Nordstroms Cafe and it was lovely.

@DianneN Busy,Busy.As you said a weekend of reunions.Glad to know dinner with friends went well, I like seafood restaurants.
It is nice that though you did not go and see your grand kids you could see all those activities of ice skating,horse riding and the get together on videos.
