Hello, Again!

Well, hello again, everyone. (The “again” obviously only applies if you actually remember me.) I haven’t been around for some time because of various changes at home. We’re a three-person family at the moment, because my daughter’s moved back with us temporarily. It’s all going reasonably well, and we’re all getting used to each other again. It’s fun for me to have someone with whom to discuss clothes and make-up, and for Rik to have someone who can walk better and further than I can. So, what are you all doing in this hot weather? (To those who are not UK residents I have to explain that we have now had about a week of hot weather in Southern England. This must go down as a record!) For us, we’re taking it as a chance to acclimatise for Cyprus, as we’re going there early September. It’s great to be able to eat outdoors, even if the occasional wasp does come along to join the party. My daughter has a theory that they’re just dropping in to say, “Hey, guys, this looks great! Can I have a taste of your sandwich? OK, OK – there’s no need to be like that! “ I remain unconvinced. I mistrust anything with a waist that small on principle. Anyway, this is me throwing my hat into the room to see if I’m welcome, so to speak. Looking forward to hearing from you all and finding my way back into the community!
