Believe it or not the first day or school is slowing creeping up on us. Or, rapidly approaching, depending on your perspective. For a teacher or a student, it seems to be rapidly coming. For a parent it is taking for ever.
Every where you look you can see school supplies displayed and on sale. For the first time in I don't even want to think about, I am not feeling stressed, rushed, and under pressure.
I am not going to be at all affected by August 10, the first day of school. No more lesson plans, no more classroom rules, no more teachers meetings. I am retired.
This summer is speeding by. I am enjoying my free time. I wish the kids and teachers and parent all the luck in the world with the first day of school.

@HazySue You got that right. We go thru town several times a week - people have pools - no kids in them. They have trampolines, no kids using them. They have bikes, no one rides them. We have a park, no one there.

@AbbyGreenhill I think they are on the internet way too much. That's one of the reasons they know things they shouldn't younger than they should.

@AbbyGreenhill kids don't play outside anymore. They are inside being exposed to things they shouldn't be.
