Should I Just Get A Tablet?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Smartphone, but I don't really use it as a phone. I don't keep service on it, heck, it doesn't even have a sim card in it! I just use it for games, Facebook, and web browsing mostly. I also have a texting/calling app downloaded on it where I can text and call for free.
I have a home phone, and really don't go out much so I see no need to get service on my smartphone.
Should I just get a tablet and sell my smartphone? It seems I am using the smartphone like a tablet anyway. The only difference is a tablet would have a bigger screen. I'd like a 10".
I can't afford much, maybe like $100 at most for a tablet. What would be the best brand under a $100? I don't want a piece of crap!
My boyfriend bought me one a while ago for around $80 at Wal-Mart and it was horribly slow! That's how I got the smartphone I have now. I traded that tablet for my phone. I don't want a repeat!

I have a tablet and I use it to read comments, but it's still a pain typing - I prefer my computer.

@Angelee_27 There are several of the tablets with keyboards shown on that link for Walmart I gave you. My daughter has three tablets with detachable keyboards. (Well, as of last night, she has four, now.) Three of them are RCA brand and the fourth is the Nextbook Flexx.
The RCA tablets are just above your stated range at $125 in Walmart stores, whereas I believe you can get them for $98 online. (Don't quote me on that, as I haven't looked for the RCA brand.)

Abby, do you have a tablet with the bluetooth keyboard? The tablet I am using right now is a 10.1" Nextbook with a bluetooth detachable keyboard. You can use it as a tablet or as a pc.

Hmmm... well, first, which tablet did you have before? There are several that might work for what you want.
Now is a good time to be looking at tablets, too. It is almost time for the Back-to-School sales, plus the No-Tax weekend is coming up soon. Tablets should qualify for the No-Tax weekend, just like laptops will.
My daughter has eight tablets right now while I have two. She uses her tablets making money online. I use mine to read books or play solitaire on. (I am currently using the one I just bought here on myLot. It was $179 but was put on clearance at my Walmart for $45. I love working at Walmart! I get some really good deals on electronics.)
Let me know what you are looking for and I will try to make some suggestions for you. (I am actually the phone salesman at the Walmart where I work, but I also sell tablets, computers and tvs!)
Edit to add: Here is a link to Walmart's website. Check out the user ratings on these tablets. Notice, some of them are refurbished. (Nothing wrong with refurbished. I've gotten several items that were refurbished by Walmart. They usually last longer than the same item bought new.)
I also suggest you buy your tablet online. You will get it at a discount price, then have it shipped Site-to-Store. You don't have to pay shipping and handling charges if you pick it up at your local Walmart!
Shop Android Tablets under $100 at Walmart.com - and save. Buy TG-TEK 16GB 10.1" Touchscreen Dual Camera WiFi Quad Core Android 5.1 Tablet at a great price.

@vandana7 Yep, doesn't matter as long as it's not slow or a piece of crap! I know I'm only spending less than $100, but I still should get something decent for that.

I don't remember the brand I had before, some weird brand that wasn't well-known, lol!
I am wanting a 10" tablet that is fast and has a decent amount of memory because I download a lot of apps. Nothing fancy, because I can't afford it!

Im oneof them minorities who doesn't have a use for a tablet. I have a samsung edge phone so I find it convinient to use than a tablet, and also tablets have bigger sceen and its hard for me to type messages on the go. Its buly and took up space. If I not on my phone then im on my laptop so, no tablet for me.

You do have a point there, they are bulky and hard to type on the go. I currently am either using my phone or laptop as well. Maybe I don't really need a tablet.

@Angelee_27 hehe. what kind of tablet are you currently eyeing? my sister have a samsung tablet and so far she has no concern. I personally dont have a use for a tablet. But it doesn't have to be in your case if you really wanted one just to try it out.
