Goodbye Rooster

Philippines
July 25, 2016 5:09pm CST
I thought I was imagining things when I heard a chicken's shout that morning, I easily thought it was my neighbors. But when I went back I saw Mom and her friend about to cut throat this midget chicken that's been walking around, It didn't run that fast though. With the ingredients I saw in the kitchen earlier, some how I knew they were going to cook this rice porridge / arroz caldo. Her friend had pity him as blood is removed, but it was her husband who gave it to us. I would have keep it though but the rooster would have died anyway since Cats began hanging out here since last night.

If we start to feel pity for all the animals we normally eat, probably we´d go hungry. Yesterday my daughter brought a beautiful pair of pork chops for our lunch. Today we went vegetarian with Leticia.

@Letranknight2015 If you want to raise chicken, a chicken coop is a must. Cats love to eat birds.

Such is the life of a rooster! Was the meat soft and tender or was it rubbery?
