Very Proud of Her...

My great niece who is only 19 already has a year old baby and is pregnant again. (Not proud of that! ) This pregnancy, the baby has problems and won't live after it's born. The baby has no lungs or liver. The doctors suggested she abort it, but she didn't want to. Apparently the baby is living off of her fluids and has a strong heart beat!! What would you do if you were in her situation? Knowing that you're baby once it's born won't live, but yet it has life in your womb? ~Peace~ photo courtesy of pixabay

Wow, that is a tough one. I think she knows best. Give the precious child every last chance it has. Doctors have been wrong before, and miracles do happen sometimes.

A very tough situation. Appreciation of the life that is there is commendable. The doctors have been wrong before but either way I would respect her choice.

What an awful situation for your great niece. I'm not sure what I'd do, but I wish her all the best.

I hope the doctor is wrong and miracle will happen to the baby. I will do the same because abortion for me is a sin even in a given situation.

It's no ones decision but your great nieces. However, I will say if it were me I would probably not abort it.. (Under the assumption my boyfriend left it up to me/agreed) This is a very difficult place to be in... To have to choose between aborting your baby or trying to carry to term and growing more & more attached to your child all the while knowing that they will not survive out of the womb. I am sending healing energy her way! May she find peace in this terribly difficult situation.
