Story telling nurtures creative thinking in children

I had the habit of story telling to my children in their childhood. I always nurtures creative thinking in children. The imagination power improves. They develop the habits of questioning, learning and keen observation in them. I have told them stories like Snow white, Gulliver travels, Krishna stories and others. They will listen to them with great interest and raise interesting questions. Even I remember my English teacher's story narration of Happy Prince. I very much liked that story in my childhood and the way in which she narrated the love between swallow and reed and the love between swallow and Happy Prince. What stories you have narrated to your kids and what stories impressed you in your child hood? Please share your opinion

I always read to my two boys at bedtime. Sometimes they would ask for the same story over and over.

It is really hard to tell the story. But it all comes down to how good we are with words for it. I am guessing for kids it's not easy at all.

I remember reading to them, but I don't know which were their favorite stories.
