Going away for awhile

I hate to say this but I will be going away for two weeks. We live in Florida and are driving up to New Jersey as we have a wedding there. It is a 2 day drive as we stop over night in North Carolina. My husband hates my driving as I have a heavy foot and he gets nervous.
It's fine with me. I bring lots of unread magazines and my nook so I am content. I take a few naps along the way too. I will be texting a lot too.
I am excited as we will be with my daughter and her youngest son who is 15. His brother is my oldest grandson and is in college so he is getting ready to be going back there in a week or two.
We are staying at my girlfriends beautiful big house on the largest lake in New Jersey. We will have my kids over a few days and hang out with them.
Hopefully I will have the instructions on my girlfriends computer and if I do I will get on here when I can.
It is in the 100's up there and they are having a very big heat wave. I do not look forward to that but sometimes we have to take the good with the bad.

i hope y'ave a safe trip'n that heat dissipates 'n those parts soon. 't least yer lookin' 't such with a positive attitude - how wonderful to be able to spend that time with family 'n friends. bein' 'n a lake settin' sounds most divine!

Don't forget to bring lots of sunscreen, your sunglasses, and a wide brim hat. Wish you to enjoy and have the time of your life while you're there!

@toniganzon I know. I remember when I was a teen and I was tall for a girl. It was good as I always looked thin. I was 5 ft 7in. Now I am shrinking.

I can't wait to see my grandsons as they grow so fast. Last year when I saw them I felt like a midget. The one is way over 6 foot 3 inches and he is only 19.
The younger one at 15 is catching up too. We don't know where they got this height from.

Me too! Ironically, I will be going to Florida for 2 weeks. 
Anyway, have fun.

I always have the air conditioning on, in the house and in the car. I al a person that sweats a lot and I always feel so clammy.

Thank you @JudyEV. When I heard about this last year I said to my husband, we are not going to that one. His uncle is very old and when we saw him last year he didn't look like he would make it this long. That is why we decided to go. It is his last aunt and uncle so I couldn't say anything.

Thanks. Hopefully where I am staying at my girlfriends house, she will leave me directions to use her computer and I can check in on here when there is a lull.
