What makes a Call Center Job exhausting??

Oftentimes you hear someone who's working in a call center keeps hopping from center to center. Most of the time the reason why they are hopping is because they don't like the management. Most of the Call Center's Management makes impossible to reach metrics and since you can't reach it unless you do some Ninja moves which are not supposed to be done, but since the management keeps nagging about why your not reaching their impossible metrics so agents try to learn some tricks that are often called ninja moves. Then, when the agents reach the metrics the management again imposes new metrics which are so much higher than before. In working in a Call Center you have to have a tough heart because you will hear whining and nagging from the Supervisors, and for the whole shift you hear nagging and whining aswell from Customers who wants everything to be done according to how they want it to instead of choosing from the options being provided to them because as we all know companies are also subject to follow the Law, Rules and Regulations imposed by their country. While the customers wants everything to be override and if you can't override the system because the system is designed to prevent from diverting on what is being imposed, they(the customers) then keep on whining and whining and whining.. and you hear complaints from all of the customers for the whole 8hrs shift excluding your lunch, plus its stressful because Call Centers often have graveyard shifts. So most of the time agents don't last long in Call Centers because they needed a break from all negativity that they keep on absorbing everyday everytime they go to work.

Negativity from calls. Seniors, peers and the way this industry is using the tricks to make money. All this piles upand makes job exhausting.

Not all countries have many call center jobs. The companies outsource the jobs to Philippines and other countries to cut cost. If you are working in a call center, and you want to look for other call center jobs, you are likely to live in Philippines or countries that get a lot of these jobs.

Yes, while it may not be physically demanding it certainly is emotionally draining and mentally exhausting. I also work in a call center and it can be very high stress at times. I don't think people give call center employees enough credit for what they put up with.

Each call center should come with a movable stretcher so that employees can be carried out of it to the traumatized care unit.

My son hated telling lies about why someone did not get their tickets or their tax refund.

Those are the reasons why I didn't stay long in a call center. I really don't like the job.

It's monotonous. Responders' response is also not good.
