Favorite Songs about Rain #5 - "Here Comes the Rain Again"

Later today here in the Pikes Peak region, we have a pretty good chance of some strong storm cells moving through, strong enough that we might even get some hail along with the rain. Which brings us to #5 in my Favorite Songs about Rain series (originally done by @JohnRoberts,) the Eurythmics' "Here Comes the Rain Again." Comprised of vocalist Annie Lennox and multi-instrumentalist Dave Stewart, Eurythmics formed in London in 1980, after which they became one of the most successful synth-pop acts ever. The duo has sold more than 75 million records worldwide, have a Grammy win under their belts, and are in the UK Music Hall of Fame. Already a hit machine, they hit again in 1984, with "Here Comes the Rain Again," from their 1983 Platinum album, Touch. A sophisticated synth-pop song, complete with strings performed by the British Philharmonic Orchestra, "Here Comes the Rain Again" reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was an international hit, charting in multiple countries. The song has been covered several times, by a list of diverse artists, including Macy Gray, and darkwave band Cruxshadows. It is an all-time favorite rain song. After all, it's got Annie Lennox on vocals. She could sing the Denny's menu and I'd listen.
