Sometimes I think our family will be facing some big problems.

Today I had a discussion agfain with my brother about the things that my mother left when she died. He has disposed of just about everything and has not thought about asking me at all. Every time I have said that I´d like this or that, he has said that it is already asigned to someone else. I don´t mind the material things too much, but I feel that this is going to mean a mayor break in our family. Yet maybe the break was before and all this is just the way that it is shown. Fortunatly, my eldest daughter who has the lesser means, was able to get some of my parents´ furniture. Not the best one. That, for some reason, went to one of my cousins. My brother told me today by phone that he had given all the best things including the paintings to him because my mother loved him as if he had been his son. OMG! I WAS her daughter! This is a rant! Sorry!

Your brother has been very inconsiderate of your feelings. Did your mother not leave a will?

No she didn´t. And my brother is usually inconsiderate. I don´t think he´s a bad guy. He just thinks that he is always right.

Why is it there is so often someone who does this? On my dad's side of the family was a rift over inheritance I believe between my grandfather and his brother. The two side stayed estranged over it. My sister-in-law quick disposed of my mother-in-law's possessions in unbelievably rapid fire order. We didn't even have a chance to ask about a few things. My wife is grateful that at least we got a few of the old photos.

My brother doesn´t need the money or the goods. I think that he just needs power.

It so happens that even after being grown up together, we tend to part ways. Sometimes, we feel our own siblings behave like strangers. The best part is these days, our siblings cannot stand to see us happier than them.

I don't blame you for the way you feel. That is a cheap way to do things and he does not seem to care about your feelings. Has he always been that way?

I think so. And he hasn´t has children so he has not learned to think of others.

@marguicha That's a shame but karma will be around to bite him in the butt sooner or later.
