North Korea Declares War on the United States

Although North Korea itself has long faced economic and financial sanctions imposed by the United States and other western powers, the U.S. took an unprecedented step this week to place North Korea's leader, Kim Jong Un, on its list of sanctioned individuals, as a result of his government's documented human rights abuses. North Korea responded by informing the United States that they had "crossed the red line," and in effect declared war. The North Koreans then warned that if the United States and South Korea hold their joint annual war games next month as planned, that a vicious showdown could erupt. North Korea is known for its tough rhetoric anytime the U.S. and South Korea hold joint military exercises, but usually nothing comes of all the hot air they are always blowing. What are your thoughts on this "declaration of war with the United States?" Does anyone even care? Did anyone even notice this happened today? lol

Yeah, this is just standard operating procedure for the North Koreans. I think this is like the 38,678th time they've declared war on us!

The North Korea leader is a crazy man and I wonder how is it that he is still alive. Of course I would not care.

@moffittjc This is exactly the same think that I wonder. He is a crazy man, he respect nobody and nothing he does not deserve to live longer than he already lived.

@LadyDuck I'm really surprised that--in a country of 25 million people--not one of them has thought "Hey, let's get this bozo out of power, reunify with South Korea, introduce democracy to the North, and live in peace!"

Not that I advocate assassinations, but how is it that all these First World countries--who have the technology, skills and weaponry to take out any person they want to--doesn't just go in and kill these crazy leaders?

I heard it and would not doubt that this "dear" crazy leader would pull something stupid, but probably will not.

The problem is, Kim Jong Un is such a nut case that he actually may try to do something stupid.

Not to worry, shouldn't really be too scary. North Korea does this all the time. I would really be worried if they STOPPED doing it! Then I'd think they are really up to something! lol

The big problem I foresee is that if war does break out, it won't be North Korea attacking the U.S. It will be them unleashing their entire arsenal on South Korea, effectively obliterating the southern portion of the Korean peninsula.
