Washing clothes by hand

Canada
July 28, 2016 10:47pm CST
For years we had a fairly big sized laundry tub...and it was never used. For some reason a few weeks ago I just had the random idea, why don't I use it? Seeing as I kind of suck at laundry I decided that if I am going to ruin something, it might as well be my hoodies. Mmmm, that was my logic to use something to practice on. But oddly, it didn't turn out bad. I'm obviously on a kick toward more naturalistic living now...little by little. Somehow my tomato plants have survived the summer...so, next year, I will try more. Mmmm, this is my second attempt to post this...for some reason, it didn't work the first time.

@HebrewGreekStudies hahaha you actually wrote it right! I read it wrong. I like how my brain just "jumps to conclusions" without thinking, like I naturally assumed you were talking about "pants" when you're discussing laundry. lol

Ohhhhhhhhhh thank you for pointing that out...um not to sound too mischevous, I am oddly tempted NOT to correct it...just for the sake of that comment, yeh, um, WAY TOO FUNNY;).

I used to enjoy doing laundry by hand. My daughter even bought me a washboard for Christmas one year! As I get older, those ways become harder and harder, so I have given up a lot, but not all, of them.

Doing your own laundry is much cheaper than having someone else do it for you. That's why we do our own in our house.

I do wash cloths by hand daily. Same time I depend on machine occasionally. It depends on the size of the cloths. If the cloths are heavy on we I can't manage.

I wash our clothes by hand most of the time.. I feel like it's more clean than doing laundry in a machine.

I live alone and lived without washing machine, so I can relate to the washing by hand part ..

I'm glad the laundry tub is working out for you. Excited that the tomato plants survived the summer. That's a great thing and would be a fantastic feat for me.
