CHILDHOOD DESIRES

Hey guys!!! Today I'll be talking about the irreversible and most wonderful stages of our lives, "Our Childhood". As a child we pursue so many dreams and there are no restrictions to being a doctor or an engineer or lawyer or chef or any other professional. As a child I always wished to be a doctor but as I started learning different concepts in various subjects and had developed interest and skills in them, I chose a completely different stream. We should always have aims and ambitions but when you are mature enough to understand what is suitable for you and how you want your lifestyle to be, you would definitely know what to choose. We can achieve anything we desire. But we forget the one most important thing which is "the way you began". The beginning of our lives, our childhood is the biggest motivation and inspiration for us. We just have to keep smiling in tough times with pure determination and a good attitude. This is all we need to relive our childhood maturely and achieve success in life.

Lot of dreams don't come true. and often we are forced to change direction.

@Y_to_Y yes but not in terms of education but in terms of job satisfaction and also relationship point of view. But I understand that part of growing up is about standing up to our own choices. even if those choices leads to doomsday. we just have to dream about something else and get back on life.

Yes, something like that happened with me. But now I'm happy with the stream I chose. Have you been under such circumstances too?

@skysnap Absolutely! We feel bad but moving on is what we call life. We should never regret but learn from our past and believe that we can make the best out of our choices.

I hope so too... but if we keep the child within us alive, we can definitely relive a part of it.

There's no limit to achieving your desires but sometimes circumstances could affect your childhood desires adversely. I hope you pursue what you desire. :)

I wanted to be a teacher. I was also for 4 years, but then circumstance made me choose a different profession. But I am still yearning to achieve that childhood dream.

If we have proper knowledge, interest and motivation about particular field then we should have to go on that. But in India this is not possible because we Indians always go with crowd and we look what others are doing and we started copy him or her. My story same like this when I was in 10th everybody told me take Science it has vast scope then I take Science and I don't even know the meaning of that subject at that time. Just everyone want and I take it. When I was completed my 12th everybody told me take engineering it has a good scope. Now I am engineer and I am realize my mistake what i have done with my self. After completing my engineering I realize that I am good in Computers languages but did you know what stream i have taken, I have taken ECE. So now for my inner happiness I daily try to gain some knowledge related to this. Do what you like, I wasted 4 years but I am still happy and right now I am doing things which i really like.

Yes! definitely peer pressure plays a vital role in a student's life but it depends on us to understand our interests and the pros and cons of the field we choose. I really respect that your trying to work on your interests and relive your dreams :)

Childhood is really the most precious thing to have. I wanted to be a captain of the ship. However, I just became a seaman.

As I said childhood desires can be substantially modified but if we keep faith in ourselves and stay determined we can achieve success in whatsoever choice we make. :)

I wanted to be an "Astrophysicist" when I was six because I loved learning about the constellations with my dad. I actually was a math and physics major for my first year of college. But it ultimately became too "abstract" for me, and I switched to psychology. Now I'm a psychologist, but I still love looking at the stars, and I still remember some of the formulas I learned when I was a physics major. I can compute the approximate depth of a vertical mine shaft using a rock and the formula d = 1/2 at^2.
